I’m looking to get solar panels installed on my home in San Francisco? Looking for cost for solar installation?

I was looking to get a solar panel installation quote for my house, and preferably a free quote.

Usually solar panels are expensive. The solar panel + installation can cost you thousands of dollars. You will need a professional to install your solar panel.
Why don't you try to do it yourself? There are do-it-yourself guide that are very cheap. It will show you also where to buy th cheapest materials. All in all, you can get it for less than $200. But be careful. some of them are scams.
I can show you one that is not and will really help you in building your own solar panel. Here's the link

  1. Hi,

There is a cool solar website that I used called: http://www.easysolarquotes.com It takes like 30 seconds to fill out the form. You will then be contacted by up to 4 different solar companies in your area who will give you a free quote on installing solar power in your home. I live near you in California, and was contacted by solar companies from San Francisco, San Louis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Napa who all gave me solar quotes for my house.

  3. Borrego Solar was in your area. They merged with ReGrid, which is in the south bay, where I live. I personally like ReGrid - no pressure, and free analysis and quote. Others to consider for San Francisco are REC Solar, SolarCity, and Akeena. If you meant a solar water heater, there are other companies.

Any solar company will give a free quote. Prices seem to vary widely, so get at least 2 bids, preferably 3. Don't buckle to high-pressure sales tactics like a bid or discount that expires on the spot. Get the bids and compare them.

The best prices I've seen are from small installers, like the guy who did my neighbor.

My email is in my profile if you had more questions. I'm not affiliated with any of these companies.

  4. You can go to many different sites to find installers in your area. http://www.findsolar.com/ is a good site as well as http://store.altestore.com/installers/ which both can help you find an installer in your area. Now is a good time to install with both the CA and National rebates and tax credits.
